Jitka Čechová‘ piano recital

Jitka Čechová, the first lady of the Czech piano, performs on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 8.00 p.m. in the Dvořák’s Hall in Rudolfinum during the 2nd annual Piano festival Rudolf Firkušný. Its organizer is the Prague Spring International Music Festival. Jitka Čechová plays three famous sonatas: Beethoven’s Appassionata, Janáček’s Sonata “1. X. 1905” and Sonata in G minor of Bedřich Smetana. Jitka Čechová is the renowned interpret of the Czech music. In the autumn of this year she finished recording the last of a series of 8 CDs, which concluded a multi-year recording project of the complete piano works of Bedřich Smetana. more

The Smetana Trio set out in another concert tour to England

The Smetana Trio set out in another concert tour to England, which, thanks to Margaret Murphy Management Agency became its regular and popular tour. Over the past five years, this renowned ensemble appeared in the series of the significant English cities and introduced the audience works mainly the Czech composers. This time, the Smetana Trio will perform four times. On 1. 11. 2014 at the Djanogly Recital Hall in Nottingham, 2. 11. 2014 at the Balliol College, Oxford, 6. 11. 2014 within the Chichester Chamber Concerts in Chichester and 8. 11. 2014. at the Stamford Arts Centre. The program will feature compositions by J. Suk, M. Ravel, A. Dvořák and B. Smetana. more

Excellent trumpeter Marek Zvolánek, whose fantastic Jolivet was truly breathtaking

Marek Zvolánek performed on October 13, 2014 in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague at the first concert of the new concert series New Horizons of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. Under the baton of Thomas Brauner conductor he played Concerto No. 2 for trumpet and orchestra by André Jolivet. The Smetana Trio left to USA

After the successful American tour to USA last year, the KIRSHBAUM DEMLER & ASSOCIATES, INC agency from New York who covered the Smetana Trio in America, organize this year again the concert tour for our front ensemble. From October 14 to 25 the Smetana Trio performs in San Diego and Irvine in the State of California, continuing in New York, Gettysburg and Eau Claire in Wisconsin. In New York the Smetana Trio performs twice: at first in the prestigious SubCulture 92nd Street Y, the second time in the Czech center on the evening coupled with a talk to the Year of the Czech music. The tour will finish with a concert in Eau Claire in Wisconsin and master classes at the university there. more

TRIART Management art agency organizes another tour in France!

Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Chamber Choir and soloists Zdena Kloubová (soprano), Barbora Martínková-Polášková (mezzo-soprano), Ondřej Socha (tenor) and Roman Vocel (bass) left today on 11.10.2014 for the sixteen-days tour in France. Under the direction of conductor Jan Chalupecký they will perform Mozart's Requiem and the other Mozart's songs in thirteen cities of France. Tomorrow on 12.10. starts the concert in Pontarlier, in the coming days will perform in the cities Lyon, Toulouse, Pau, Sain Jean de Luz, Mont de Marsan, Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Blois, Orléans, Rouen, Dieppe and Rethel. It is the seventeenth tour over the past five years, that the art agency TRIART Management, s.r.o. organize together with its French partner. During this time, artists performed in more than 150 French cities and presented nearly two hundred concerts. more

Jitka Hosprová and Jitka Čechová perform in Rakovník, then after they are going to go to Moravia

Two distinctive personalities of the Czech interpretive scene, violist Jitka Hosprová and pianist Jitka Čechová , perform on Sunday, September 21 at 7 p.m. at the Herold’s Hall of the Rabas Gallery in Rakovnik during the Herold’s Rakovník international music festival. Concert is dedicated to the memory of Rakovnik native Jiří Herold, the famous violinist, a member of the legendary Czech Quartet, and will be recorded by the Czech Radio. Then the both artists will visit Moravia. On Tuesday, September 23 at 6 p.m. they will perform in City cultural center in Hranice, on Wednesday, September 24 at 7 p.m. in Cultural center in Valašské Meziříčí and on Thursday, September 25 at 7.30 p.m. in the Art school in Kuřim. Jitka Hosprová and Jitka Čechová will play arts by C. Schumann, R. Schumann, J. Brahms, B. Martinů and P. Hindemith. more

Conductor Zbyněk Müller performs at the Autumn Festival of Sacred Music Olomouc 2014

Conductor Zbyněk Müller leads the North Czech Philharmonic Teplice on the opening concert of the Autumn Festival of Sacred Music Olomouc 2014 on Sunday September 21 at 7 p.m. at the St. Michael Church. The concert program is Mass in D major and Te Deum cantate by Antonín Dvořák. Furthermore soloists Mária Kobielska – soprano, Anna Nitrová – alto, Aleš Voráček – tenor, Roman Janál – baritone, Bratislava City Choir with choirmaster Ladislav Holásek. more

Beginning of the new season of Jitka Čechová belongs to Bedřich Smetana again

Jitka Čechová, the renowned Czech pianist, will start the season 2014-2015 with recording of the last, eighth CD of the complete piano works of Bedřich Smetana. Project of the Supraphon record label and Jitka Čechová began to realize seven years ago and today is entering the final phase. Originally planned seven compact discs were enough to accommodate the extensive piano works of our national genius, because of it the project was expanded to eighth CD. Come together with the seventh double CD in the autumn of this year. Both recordings present the compositions from the study period of Bedřich Smetana, most of them will be unveiled in a world premiere! more
