Jan Páleníček, Jiří Vodička and Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra

Jan Páleníček and Jiří Vodička are the soloist of the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday, January 10 at 7.30 PM. Under the Ondřej Kukal conducting they perform Double Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra in A minor, Op. 102 by J. Brahms. There also be perform an overture to Don Giovanni opera and Symphony No. 38 in D major K 504 – “Prague” by W. A. Mozart. Concert will be held in the Concert hall of the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra. more

Live broadcast of this concert will be held from Hradec Králové Philharmonic Hall, where 500 people are expected to join. Christmas concerts by Pavel Svoboda

Organist Pavel Svoboda will perform on Thursday, 20 December 2012 at the concert "Václav Hudeček and his guests" in Suk Hall of the House of Music in Pardubice. He will present, among others, Sinfonia in D minor from Cantata BWV 35 by Johann Sebastian Bach. He will perform as well during the Advent Concerts of the Czech Television on Sunday, 23 December in St. Nicholas Cathedral, where he will play the organ part from the composition Concerto Grosso by Giuseppe Torelli with Barocco Sempre Giovane ensemble. The concert will be broadcast live on Czech Television. On 25 December at 3 pm he will perform together with the violinist Iva Kramperová in the Festive Hall in Grandhotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary in the "Christmas Concert by Candlelights", organized by the International Vocal Centre Antonín Dvořák. One day later he will participate on a traditional Organ concert of Václav Rabas in Pardubice. more

Silent Night with the Gentlemen Singers

Gentlemen Singers vocal ensemble gives Christmas cheer in Bohemia, Moravia and abroad. With Christmas program called Silent Night with the Gentlemen Singers has performed in Kopřivnice on 3 December and in Uherské Hradiště on 4 December. Now going to Třeboň, where it performs at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in the Winter Třeboň Nocturne music festival on 13 December. From Třeboň it goes to the Italian city Pordenone, where presents on 14 December to the Italian audience at the Musica Sacra international festival in the Basilica of St. Mark. Beautiful Christmas program of the Gentlemen Singers vocal ensemble, consisting of the Czech Baroque and international Christmas carols, accompanied by songs of Claudio Monteverdi, Arvo Pärt, Henryk Górecki and other composers, will bring Christmas cheer to Třinec as well, where the ensemble will appear on 20 December in the cultural house TRISIA. more

Jitka Čechová again immerses into Smetana

Pianist Jitka Čechová recording the sixth annual CD complete piano works of Bedrich Smetana at the end of November. This time, the repertoire focuses on the Smetana's works of the revolutionary period around 1848 - primarily on the Six Characteristic Pieces Op. 1, but also including a number of Album Leaves, Forest Impressions and Emotions cycle, Allegro capriccioso, Caprice in G Minor, Romance in B flat major and two marches. The new CD should then come out with Supraphon next spring. more

Smetana Trio concert in Ostrava

Smetana Trio will perform on October 15, 2012 at 7 PM in the community hall of the House of Culture in Ostrava in the chamber series of the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava. During the evening will be heard music by L. van Beethoven, J. Suk, V. Novák and J. Brahms. Immediately afterwards it goes to France, where it will perform in several French cities, including Paris and Épinal. more

Another French tour

Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra together with the Prague Chamber Choir and soloists Zdena Kloubová (soprano), Veronika Hajnová (mezzo-soprano), Josef Moravec (tenor) and Roman Vocel (bass) depart on Friday, 12.10 2012 for ten-days tour to France, where under the direction of conductor Jan Chalupecký will perform Messiah by G. F. Händel and Requiem by W. A. Mozart. From 13 to 21 October the artists appear in Bourg en Bresse, Dijon, Strasbourg, Colmar, Belfort, Dole, Salon sur Saone and Bourgoin Jallieu. It is the eleventh tour over the past four years, that art agency TRIART Management Ltd. along with its French partner have held. During this time, artists appeared in more than 80 cities in France and performed over a hundred wonderful concerts. more
